Im really wary of this whole kickstarters switching platforms as we saw with Phoenix Points kickstarter project. I suspect that since it's a custom engine, it renders at a lower resolution and then upscales to 1080p, instead of rendering in 1080p and lowering to the target resolution, and upscaling again (like the unity shader does). Devil Daggers has this same effect but it works perfectly there. Its the best DOOM-like game since, well, DOOM. My feeling was that it didn't work well because the underlying render was still generated in 1080p, then downscaled and upscaled again, instead of actually being rendered at a lower resolution from the get go. Prodeus is a retro first person shooter re-envision using modern rendering techniques, created by Bounding Box Software Inc. Prodeus is one of the most fun games Ive played this year, and youre missing out if you have Game Pass and you dont give this a shot. This looks really cool congrats!
